Job Summary
Execute the Business Systems Strategy approved by IT Executive Management, owning the roadmap for ERP, MES, BI, and AI-enabled capabilities while translating goals into actionable delivery plans and governance routines. Lead process design across quote-to-cash and plan-to-produce cycles, establish data governance for a single source of truth, and build a small internal team to engineer AI solutions that drive automation and decision support. Serve as senior business owner for Epicor and Aegis, manage vendor accountability for systems integrators, and develop playbooks for M&A system integration. Ensure all initiatives comply with aerospace, defense, and regulatory standards while providing operational insight to IT Executive Management. This hybrid role requires regular onsite work at Chatsworth, CA; Carlsbad, CA; Longmont, CO; or Westborough, MA.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of ERP, MES, or business systems leadership in manufacturing
- Multi-site manufacturing experience with plant-level operational exposure
- Direct experience with ERP modernization, upgrade, stabilization, or migration programs
- Working knowledge of MES/shop-floor systems, preferably Aegis or comparable platforms
- Experience in regulated manufacturing environments such as medical, aerospace, defense, or high-reliability industrial manufacturing
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional business process standardization
- Experience managing vendors, systems integrators, and outsourced IT providers
- Strong executive communication and practical decision-making skills
- Hands-on technical depth in software development and/or ERP customization (e.g., Epicor BPMs, BAQs, dashboards, customizations, integrations) sufficient to credibly direct, review, and challenge the work of a development team
- Experience directly managing software developers, engineers, or analysts — including hiring, performance management, technical mentorship, and prioritization across competing business demands
- Ability to travel up to 50%

- M&A integration, carve-out, or systems diligence experience
- ITAR/CUI, FDA-regulated manufacturing, ISO, AS9100, or comparable compliance exposure
- BI/data governance and manufacturing KPI experience
- Experience building a business systems center of excellence
- Private-equity or portfolio-company operating environment experience
- Experience standing up or scaling an in-house development team (full-stack, data, integration, or automation engineers) in a manufacturing or enterprise environment
- Exposure to applied AI / ML projects in manufacturing or enterprise settings — e.g., document and data extraction, demand or production forecasting, scheduling optimization, quality vision, or LLM-based automation
- Earlier-career hands-on development background (software engineering, data engineering, or deep ERP technical work) before moving into systems leadership
