Director, Business Process Engineering & AI Enablement

Job Summary
Lead execution of AI enablement, process automation, and business process engineering strategies across Tru Cooperative Bank by partnering with business units to identify operational challenges and translate them into defined use cases. Establish and oversee teams responsible for process redesign, standardization, and optimization to improve efficiency and reduce risk before automation. Act as the bridge between business and technology, ensuring requirements are transitioned for development while driving adoption of AI workplace tools and best practices. Monitor performance metrics to realize measurable value and maintain governance frameworks for responsible AI and security compliance. Execute enterprise roadmaps, manage resourcing and budget, and facilitate continuous improvement across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related discipline
- 9+ years of progressive experience in AI, process automation, business process engineering, or related fields
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and enterprise-wide initiatives
- Experience with process mapping, re-engineering methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma), and continuous improvement practices
- Knowledge of AI tools (e.g., Copilot, agentic AI), AI adoption practices, process automation platforms, and workflow technologies
- Strong understanding of program management & IT delivery and cross-functional collaboration models
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills to teach AI enablement best practices and drive alignment and decision-making
- Displays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by being able to demonstrate adherence to policies and procedures
- Overnight travel is required 7-12 times per year
