Job Summary
Director, Business Partnering and Strategic Advisory co-leads the HR Business Partnering function, advising executives and senior leaders, shaping HR strategy, and driving organizational evolution. The role focuses on translating corporate objectives into workforce initiatives, partnering with senior leadership on organizational design, succession planning, strategic workforce planning, and culture/engagement initiatives. Responsibilities include mentoring the HRBP team, providing high-level advisory capability across business units, guiding leaders on talent management practices, and collaborating with the People Leadership Team to align strategy with Payments Canada’s goals. The position requires advanced knowledge of HR practices, employment legislation, strong communication and presentation skills, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders while operating in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, Social Science or related field
- Approximately seven to ten (7–10) years of HRBP or strategic partnering experience
- Five (5) years of leadership experience
- Experience consulting with VPs and Executives to develop and execute people strategies
- Ability to use data to drive decision-making and measure program effectiveness
- Occasional travel outside of Toronto or Ottawa region may be required
