Job Summary
Build strong relationships with Campus occupiers like Wellcome Sanger Institute and the greater Cambridge biotech ecosystem, including universities, investors, and tech transfer offices. Lead the full sales cycle to cultivate a pipeline of prospective resident life science startups and manage regional marketing efforts to attract high-quality companies. Oversee daily site operations, finances, and team performance while collaborating with BioLabs HQ to develop annual strategic goals and budgets. Cultivate resident startups, design educational programming, and serve as the primary point of contact for local strategic partners. Represent BioLabs at conferences to elevate brand visibility and drive regional growth opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 3–5 years of leadership experience in business development, strategic partnerships, alliance management, and/or marketing within a commercial setting preferably in biotech or life sciences
- Persuasive and passionate communicator with outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, active listener, and proactive relationship builder
- Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams
- Highly organized, entrepreneurial, self-starter with strong results orientation
- Willingness to attend off-hours meetings and events as needed
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
Desired Qualifications
- an advanced degree (PhD in life sciences or a related field)
- Connections to the biotech ecosystem in the greater Cambridge region (including universities, tech transfer offices, investors, startups, economic development agencies, or real estate)
- Familiarity with early-stage company formation, venture investment, or related activities
