Job Summary
Director, BI & Analytics leads the architecture and governance of Turnitin's Revenue Operations analytics, owning KPIs and metric definitions, building a single version of the truth, and delivering scalable reporting. The role modernizes the data stack from Redshift/Alteryx/Tableau to a code-driven environment (dbt, Dagster, Airbyte, Git) and champions AI-augmented analytics, including conversational analytics and AI-generated narratives. You will lead a team of BI & Analytics Analysts, Analytics/Data Engineers, and Data Quality Specialists, partner with field and operational teams, and communicate insights to the C-suite. The position emphasizes full-stack ownership, from data plumbing to board-ready storytelling, with a focus on ARR, ACV, GRR, NRR, churn, bookings, pipeline, win rate, quota attainment, and forecast accuracy. The ideal candidate combines systems thinking, strong SQL/Python skills, experience with CRM data, and a track record of building trusted, self-service analytics in a modern, code-first data stack, with hands-on capabilities in data engineering and analytics presentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field
- 10+ years in BI/data analytics/analytics engineering
- 5+ years in a leadership role
- Strong SQL and Python
- Experience with dbt, Dagster, Airbyte, Redshift
- Experience with Tableau or code-first BI tools
- CRM data for revenue reporting (Salesforce)
- Experience leading self-service BI
- Experience building analytics pipelines and dashboards
- Experience with AI-assisted development and agentic analytics
- Hands-on with LLMs/agentic coding tools
