Job Summary
Director, Business Development within Global Medical Affairs (GMA) leads strategic selling of Red Nucleus’s medical affairs advisory and medical communications solutions to pharmaceutical/biotech clients. Applies deep knowledge of medical affairs, medical communications, marketing and publications to shape differentiated client solutions, collaborates with cross-functional teams, drives enterprise go-to-market efforts, manages pipeline and pricing, and ensures successful handoffs from business development to delivery for high-value, multi-stakeholder engagements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 10+ years of experience in business development roles selling medical communications or medical affairs advisory services to pharmaceutical and biotech organizations
- Strong focus on new business wins
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding annual revenue targets (typically $3–4M+)
- Deep experience engaging pharma stakeholders responsible for hiring medical communications/medical affairs advisory service providers
- Experience coordinating multi-team, multi-stakeholder pursuits including strategy, creative, innovation, and client services
- Experience operating within a matrixed scientific/operational/technical environment
