Director, Business Development Manager - PMO

Job Summary

Lead business development for the Project Management Office by developing growth strategies, securing new market opportunities, and managing end-to-end proposal efforts including cost estimation and competitive analysis. Drive marketing initiatives for complex PMO capabilities while acting as the primary client interface and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders in High-Tech, Infrastructure, and Utility sectors. Analyze market trends to identify emerging opportunities and foster an entrepreneurial culture by distributing lessons learned and scaling repeatable development strategies. Requires 75% to 100% travel across the United States and the ability to support East Coast and West Coast business hours.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, information technology, or related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive business development, sales, or consulting experience in Technology, Infrastructure, Utilities or related industries
  • 5+ years' experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in a high-growth environment
  • Strong knowledge of PMO services (project, program, and portfolio management)
  • Experience with PMO software/tools
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Proven track record of meeting business development targets and expanding into new markets
  • Established ability to write winning RFI/SS/RFQ/RFP proposals
  • Detail oriented, flexible, enthusiastic, and a team player with a focus on customer service
  • Proficiency with all MS OfficeTM products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, Office 365
  • Familiarity with project delivery models and the lifecycle of large-scale projects
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment without direct authority
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under rigid time constraints and deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment, managing teams and projects across geographically dispersed locations
  • Ability to support East Coast and West Coast business hours as needed
  • 75% to 100% travel week-to-week across the United States

Desired Qualifications

  • Proven experience with financial management, including PO, invoicing, costing, and budget oversight, a plus
  • Professional certifications like a PMP, a plus
  • Prior experience working in an engineering consulting environment
  • Established network within Data Centers or Technology organizations a plus
