Job Summary
Drive Kymera's business development strategy by positioning the targeted protein degradation platform at the center of strategic partnerships. Identify, evaluate, and close transactions with leading biopharma companies, owning end-to-end processes from initial opportunity through signature agreement. Lead cross-functional diligence teams, prepare partnering materials including presentations and valuation models, and develop financial analyses to inform critical decisions. Negotiate and execute collaboration agreements, licensing deals, and MRAs while representing Kymera at industry events like BIO and JPM. Requires an advanced degree and 8+ years in biopharma business development, with a base salary range of $195,000 – $275,000.
Required Qualifications
- An advanced degree — PhD, MD, or MBA
- 8+ years of experience in business development, corporate development, or strategy consulting in biopharma
- Experience across the full deal lifecycle: sourcing, diligence, negotiation, and structuring
- Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple concurrent projects
- Strong strategic judgment, the ability to work independently and represent Kymera externally
- NPV modeling, forecasting, and comparables analysis with the ability to communicate results clearly
- A track record of evaluating opportunities from both a scientific and commercial perspective
- Working knowledge of biopharma R&D (experience with small molecules is a plus), clinical development, and regulatory pathways
- Excellent negotiation, written, and presentation skills
