Job Summary
Director, Business Development for Eurofins Central Laboratory in the US region. Responsible for growing the BioPharma business by identifying key accounts, moving clients through the sales process from cold call to close, delivering formal sales presentations, navigating targeted departments within accounts, presenting Statements of Work (SOWs) in collaboration with Scientific Affairs, Operations and Project Management, achieving annual new contracts quotas, and leveraging D365 CRM. Requires strong leadership, network-building, and effective communication; travel up to ~30% and participation in industry trade shows.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree required
- Advanced degree preferred
- 3+ years of Business Development experience preferred
- Experience in Biopharma/Pharma/Medical Device or Life Sciences sectors preferred
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time
- Proficient in CRM systems (D365) and client relations
- Ability to develop and present Statements of Work (SOWs)
- Self-starter with leadership and influence without authority
- Ability to translate technical material for clients
- Ability to work outside normal business hours as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business or related field
