Job Summary
Participate in all phases of the Agile lifecycle by working with the Product Owner to understand business requirements, refine JIRA user stories, and coordinate design discussions and end-to-end testing. Analyze functional and technical requirements, document artifacts including use cases, wireframes, and data flow diagrams, and collaborate with stakeholders from business, technology, UX, risk, legal, and compliance to elicit needs. Act as the interface between business users and development teams, proactively identify issues, conduct review sessions, and highlight risks during the software development lifecycle. Telecommuting is permitted up to two days per week. This role sits within Morgan Stanley's Technology division, where the team leverages innovation to build connections and capabilities that power the Firm, providing proactive trends and insights from trusted data sources for informed decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- Master's in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field of study
- Three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years as an Associate, Manager, Analyst, or a related role
- Three (3) years of experience with the following skills: Agile/Scrum delivery, including sprint planning, backlog refinement/grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Three (3) years of experience with the following skills: Translating business needs into functional and technical requirements, including documenting use cases, user journeys/flows, and non-functional requirements
- Three (3) years of experience with the following skills: Producing analysis and design artifacts, including process flows, data flow diagrams, and interface and API specifications
- Three (3) years of experience with the following skills: Using Visio, Excalidraw, or Gliffy
- Three (3) years of experience with the following skills: Coordinating end-to-end testing activities, including writing test scenarios/cases, supporting SIT/UAT, triaging defects, and validating fixes through to closure
- Three (3) years of experience with the following skills: Running reviews and walkthroughs, and maintaining clear status reporting
- Three (3) years of experience with the following skills: Using Jira to create and refine user stories, define acceptance criteria, and manage epics and features
- Three (3) years of experience with the following skills: Tracking defects, risks, and dependencies
- Three (3) years of experience with the following skills: Using Atlassian Confluence to organize and maintain project documentation, including technical scripts, datasets, and support artifacts
- Two (2) years of experience with the following skills: Querying and validating data to support requirements and testing using SQL, including reconciling outputs and troubleshooting data issues across environments
- Two (2) years of experience with the following skills: Creating stakeholder-ready materials, including requirements decks, workflow walkthroughs, and release notes, using Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Two (2) years of experience with the following skills: Using reporting and data visualization tools, including Microsoft Power BI and Tableau, to build and maintain dashboards and reports, define KPIs and metrics, perform ad hoc analysis, and communicate insights to stakeholders
- Any amount of experience with the following skills: Using AI-assisted tools, including Microsoft Copilot or GitHub Copilot, to accelerate documentation drafting, meeting summarization, creation of test cases and checklists, and code and query scaffolding
- Any amount of experience with the following skills: Using Microsoft Excel for analysis and delivery execution, including pivot tables, XLOOKUP or INDEX-MATCH, conditional formatting, basic charts, requirements traceability, UAT progress, and defect triage log
- Any amount of experience with the following skills: Creating executive-ready documentation and presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint
- Any amount of experience with the following skills: Using Dataiku to support data preparation and analytics
- Any amount of experience with the following skills: Working with enterprise data lakes (datalake) and lakehouse-style architectures
- Any amount of experience with the following skills: Snowflake
- Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week
