Job Summary
Director of Brand Marketing leads integrated brand campaigns, brand standards, merchandise strategy, grassroots programs, and cross-functional storytelling to drive awareness, fandom, and revenue for FC Cincinnati. Oversees campaigns, seasonal planning, partnerships, app storytelling, and mentorship of a marketing coordinator; requires 8–10+ years in brand marketing and leadership in sports/entertainment. Opportunity for one work-from-home day per week (by department and schedule) as part of a hybrid work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- 8–10+ years of brand marketing experience, with leadership experience in sports, entertainment, lifestyle, or consumer brands preferred
- Proven ability to develop and lead brand strategy, integrated campaigns, and storytelling across channels
- Experience managing and mentoring teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and growth
- Strong organizational and project management skills, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate brand vision and strategy clearly
- People management experience and an interest in developing talent
- Strong creative instincts with experience briefing, managing, and evaluating internal teams and external agencies
- Expertise in leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders at all levels of an organization
- Data-informed and a growth mindset with the ability to translate insights into actionable brand strategies
- Deep understanding of fan behavior, culture, and community-building, ideally within professional sports
- Passion for soccer and alignment with FC Cincinnati’s values
