Job Summary
Manage capital improvement projects up to $50 million across multiple factory locations, leading teams of up to six engineers while overseeing design-build firms, contractors, and vendors. Negotiate contracts, manage cash flow through SAP, and oversee the full project lifecycle from design through startup and turnover to operations. Facilitate feasibility studies, analyze process proposals, and establish startup criteria to ensure quality, cost, and reliability improvements. Collaborate with plant managers, QA, legal, and R&D to deliver initiatives on schedule, while mentoring direct reports and resolving complex technical challenges in food and beverage manufacturing environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering discipline from accredited college or university
- Ten+ (10) years in engineering project management
- Five (5) years in CPG beverage/food manufacturing
- Solid engineering technical base refined with extensive corporate and plant experience in particular project start-ups
- Electrical, instrumentation and automation controls
- Dairy processing, batching and packaging lines
- Utilities, maintenance, building construction
- P&IDs, Block and process flow diagrams
- Change & Design Management
- TPM, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing
- PSM
- Successfully skilled at dealing with divergent opinions within project teams and/or external resources leading to successful project implementation
- Ten+ (10) years in engineering project management required
- Five (5) years in CPG beverage/food manufacturing strongly, preferred
