Job Summary
Director, Banking and Payments IT M&A – Due Diligence, Integration and Separation – Strategy lead Buy-Side and Sell-Side IT due diligence across banking/payments domains, direct IT integration/separation initiatives from planning through execution for banking and payments-related transactions, and develop go-to-market strategies for Technology M&A offerings with a focus on payments, fintech enablement, and platform modernization. Lead governance and executive-facing communications, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with CIOs/CTOs and payments product leaders while leveraging AI and emerging technologies. Requires eight+ years of technology/consulting leadership experience, MBA preferred, Bachelor's in IS/CS/Finance or related field, and ability to travel; US work authorization without visa sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum eight years of recent experience in technology/business consulting and/or technology leadership with IT transformations and advising on complex Mergers and Acquisitions transactions
- Master's of Business Administration degree preferred; Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field required
- Proven track record leading complex technology Mergers and Acquisitions engagements within Financial Services (banking/payments)
- Experience with IT integration/separation, platform migration, IT architecture modernization, outsourcing of IT operations, or regulatory technology implementation
- Strong program management skills and ability to oversee large, complex projects and deliver to executive audiences
- Familiarity with leveraging AI-powered platforms for due diligence, synergy analysis, and integration/separation planning
- Knowledge of core banking/payments platforms and IT implications of regulatory rules and changes
- Understanding of enterprise IT ecosystems, including ERP and business applications, cybersecurity
- Willingness to travel as needed
