Job Summary
Director, Banking and Payments IT M&A – Due Diligence, Integration and Separation – Strategy: Lead buy-side and sell-side IT due diligence assessments for banking/payments ecosystems; oversee IT integration and separation initiatives from planning through execution; develop go-to-market strategies for technology M&A offerings in payments/fintech; establish governance and risk management frameworks; mentor junior staff; engage executive stakeholders (CIOs/CTOs/payments leaders); apply AI-driven tools for analytics; travel as required. Emphasizes expertise in banking/payments platforms, data landscapes (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks), and platform modernization, with focus on delivering strategic recommendations and program governance across multi-vendor environments.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum eight years of recent experience in technology/business consulting and/or technology leadership, with a proven track record of leading IT transformations and advising on complex Mergers and Acquisitions transactions
- Master's of Business Administration degree from an accredited college or university is preferred; Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field is required
- Demonstrated success in leading high-impact IT-focused Mergers and Acquisitions projects with expertise in at least three of: system integration/separation, platform migration, IT architecture modernization, outsourcing of IT operations, or regulatory technology implementation; advanced program management skills; ability to oversee large, complex projects
- Proven track record leading complex technology Mergers and Acquisitions engagements within the Financial Services industry, covering banking/payments sectors; knowledge of core banking/payments platforms and IT regulatory implications
- Comprehensive understanding of IT best practices and enterprise IT ecosystems, including ERP and business applications, cybersecurity
- Strong strategic thinking and leadership abilities with experience developing and executing IT strategies aligned with business objectives; experience with AI-driven solutions in the M&A space
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed to serve client needs
