Job Summary
Director-level advisory role leading IT due diligence, integration and separation for banking and payments M&A. Responsibilities include leading Buy-Side and Sell-Side assessments across IT domains, identifying IT risks and opportunities, delivering executive-level due diligence reports with strategic recommendations, directing IT integration/separation from planning through execution, overseeing current-state assessments and data landscape considerations, and developing go-to-market strategies for payments/fintech offerings. Provide governance artifacts, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration; present to CIO/CTO and payments leaders; mentor junior staff; leverage AI tools for predictive analytics; travel as needed. Requires 8+ years in technology consulting/leadership, MBA preferred and a BA/BS in a related field; strong knowledge of payments technology, core banking, data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks), and multi-vendor environments; ability to lead complex IT transformations within Financial Services; licensing and sponsorship not required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field is required
- Master's of Business Administration is preferred
- Minimum eight years of experience in technology consulting and/or technology leadership with a track record of leading IT transformations and advising on complex Mergers and Acquisitions
- Demonstrated success in leading IT-focused M&A engagements (pre- and post-deal) within the Financial Services industry, including banking/payments sectors
- Experience with IT integration/separation planning and execution, platform modernization, and regulatory technology implementations
