Director (AVP) - Alternative Investment Services Hedge Fund Portfolio Accounting Operations

Job Summary
Manage operational and portfolio management support for a global hedge fund program across primary investing, co-investing, secondaries, and loans. Serve as a subject matter expert to manage processes, risks, and projects while proposing improvements. Act as a key problem solver to address unique situations, recognize risks, and provide proactive oversight of multiple portfolios. Oversee third-party service providers for general ledger posting and maintain activity in the Investran parallel accounting system. Sign off on portfolio net asset value and performance-based information, verify investor capital account balances, and prepare management fee calculations. Collaborate with portfolio management teams on investment valuation, cash management, and investor capital activities.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lead by example, work with drive and determination, and put forward challenging views to senior levels
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of functional area and operational/compliance policies and procedures of their team
- Ability to operate independently across the majority of day-to-day responsibilities
- Front-to-back knowledge of the processes, projects, systems, markets and instruments that influence their team with a comprehensive understanding of job-related operational/compliance policies and procedures
- Ability to think commercially, understand the impact of initiatives, risks on the operational budget
- Ability to address non-standard issues within area of expertise
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in Accounting, Finance, or related business field
- Prior experience in hedge fund investment accounting
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of private equity fund accounting and/or derivatives, or experience with Investran, Alteryx, Power BI, and / or UI Path
