Director, AV Technical Operations

Job Summary
Provide market-level leadership for technical operations, PMO, and field delivery teams to ensure projects execute on time, within scope, and aligned with financial and quality targets. Partner with Sales leadership to align delivery capacity and resourcing with pipeline demand, while monitoring performance to identify risks and implement corrective actions. Enforce operational standards, coordinate resource utilization across projects, and serve as the primary escalation point for delivery issues including staffing challenges and client concerns. Collaborate with Engineering, Configuration, and Fabrication teams to ensure smooth handoffs and support project launch, execution, and closeout practices. Lead performance management and coaching for PMO and field teams to promote accountability and continuous improvement. This role reports to the Managing Director- Canada, requiring regular presence at project sites with 50% telecommute eligibility and travel within the market.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- 7+ years of experience in AV systems integration, media/broadcast integration, project management, or IT services within a complex delivery environment
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience managing managers and multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong understanding of project management, installation, and field execution workflows
- Strong business, planning, and decision-making skills in fast-paced environments
- Proven experience managing financial performance, including margins, cost control, and forecasts
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and teams
- Experience driving delivery performance, quality, and financial results at the market level
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, construction management, or related field preferred
- Industry certifications such as PMP, CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D
- Ability to partner effectively with Sales, Engineering, and Operations leadership
- Background in operational improvement or change management initiatives
