Job Summary
Director/Asst. Controller - Revenue Assurance leads the revenue assurance function, consolidates and reviews revenue entries from various streams, reconciles revenues with sub-systems, manages a team of 4-5 including training, presents monthly revenue during close, maintains SOX documentation, facilitates automation of processes, maintains summary of accounting issues and exposes key issues, and coordinates with external auditors. Requires MBA or CA with 8-10 years in revenue assurance, experience with a US public company in a SOX environment, understanding of ASC 606, multi-system reconciliation, linking contractual commitments to billing and revenue, managing deferred revenue schedules, variance analysis (MoM/QoQ/YoY), and automation/ERP integration.
Required Qualifications
- MBA or CA
- 8-10 years of experience in revenue assurance
- Experience with US Public Company in a SOX environment
- Understanding of ASC 606 and revenue vs billing nuances
- Experience reconciling multiple tracking systems to prevent revenue leakage
- Ability to link contractual commitments to billing and revenue
- Experience with deferred revenue schedules and stale item assessment
- Experience with automation and process improvement in ERP/subsystems
- Ability to coordinate with external auditors
