Job Summary
Director, Associate General Counsel for Privacy, Cybersecurity, and AI to lead Chime's Privacy & Security team. Will advise teams on privacy laws with emphasis on financial privacy, lead and maintain Chime’s privacy program, develop privacy impact assessments and ensure privacy by design, collaborate with product counsel on privacy aspects of product design, develop privacy trainings, support the security team with incident reportability, and stay current on regulatory trends to implement changes. The role requires cross-functional collaboration and strong leadership to translate complex legal requirements into pragmatic guidance, policies, and notices.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in-house
- experience advising on privacy and security programs
- interest in AI enablement and governance
- experience advising a security team on best practices and preparedness
- proven track record leading a team
- ability to translate legal and regulatory expectations into actionable guidance
- experience crafting privacy policies and procedures for business teams
- strong communication and drafting skills
- comfort with advising senior business leaders (including executives)
