Job Summary
Provide legal advice and coordinate risk frameworks for onshore business activities across Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, Capital Markets, and FICC lines in Mumbai. Manage the India Legal Department, including external counsel, regulatory enquiries, and dispute responses while balancing regional norms with local operating environments. Lead associates, drive inclusive culture, and optimize process efficiency to support enterprise strategy and profitability. Coordinate with India Country Leadership and regional stakeholders to mobilize resources for client needs and competitive advantage.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years' PQE
- Indian legal qualification
- onshore practising experience in supporting one or more of the abovementioned business activities
- In-house experience at an international financial institution
- experience in supporting such institutions at an India law firm
- Language proficiency: English (high professional level)
