Job Summary
Advise and counsel RTX and its businesses on all aspects of privacy law, including data breach response, mergers and acquisitions, and privacy insurance matters. Monitor and help shape privacy laws, regulations, and government policies while developing external relationships with industry partners and regulators. Assist the Chief Privacy Officer in designing, implementing, and overseeing RTX's global data privacy program, which includes creating policies, standard workbooks, and delivering training for employees and data protection officers. Review privacy impact assessments, support data inventory activities, and participate in annual privacy self-assessments and internal audit testing. Manage outside counsel and vendors engaged on privacy legal matters.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate University Degree
- Minimum 14 years prior relevant experience
- Advanced Degree in a related field
- Minimum 12 years of experience
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant law firm and/or in-house experience
- Proven investigative, analytical, written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of U.S. and global privacy and data protection laws, regulations, government policies, and similar
- Previous experience advising and counseling clients on privacy and/or data protection matters
- U.S. Citizen, U.S. Person, or Immigration Status Requirements: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company's immigration sponsorship now or in the future

- Background in privacy and/or data protection, and possession of related certifications (e.g., CISSP, CIPP)
