Job Summary
Director of Asset Management overseeing the regional portfolio, owning asset strategy, leasing decisions, and performance outcomes. Combines hands-on portfolio management with team leadership, strategic portfolio development, and investor relations. Mentors asset management professionals, drives operational excellence, and ensures alignment of leasing, financial, and operational strategies with fund objectives. Key responsibilities include leasing relationships, tenant negotiations, lease structuring, rent growth strategies, renewals, leasing execution and strategy, market positioning, due diligence for acquisitions, budgeting and forecasting, vendor and accounts receivable management, capital improvements, performance reporting, process improvements, and regulatory compliance across the portfolio. Requires experience in commercial real estate finance, leadership, strong communication with executives and investors, and travel.
Required Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in asset management or real estate investment
- at least 3-5 years in a leadership or senior management capacity
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Demonstrated expertise in commercial real estate finance, including underwriting, ARGUS, rent roll analysis, and financial reporting
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to interface with C-level executives, investors, and external partners
- Strategic thinking with strong operational and analytical capabilities
- Knowledge of industrial real estate market dynamics, including leasing trends, tenant demand, and capital markets
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects to completion independently
- Willingness to travel 5-10% of the time
