Job Summary

Deliver the first successful live births using Colossal's Artificial Womb Technology platform by leading an interdisciplinary team of reproductive biologists and engineers. Build a world-leading research program integrating developmental biology, biomaterials, and engineering to translate discoveries into scalable technologies for conservation and de-extinction. Recruit, mentor, and inspire a globally recognized scientific team while overseeing mixed groups of scientists and engineers to design and execute in vitro, ex-vivo, and in vivo experiments. Serve as the strategic partner to the Chief Biology Officer, managing annual objectives and ensuring appropriate regulatory oversight for animal ethics. Recognize and conceptualize patents to build an intellectual property portfolio defining the future of exogenous development.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant research and management experience beyond post-doctoral research
  • hands-on leadership and competence in the scientific and technical aspects of genetic engineering, regenerative medicine, tissue engineering, reproductive technology, animal health combined with a novel medical device
  • Knowledge or experience in genetic engineering, AI and machine learning, embryology, stem cell programming, animal husbandry, and exogenous development
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary scientific and technical teams
  • experience advancing research programs from discovery through the continuum to product registration
  • BS, MS, PhD, or ScD in a technical field
  • demonstrated ability to think rigorously, lead successful teams, innovate, and manufacture novel, complex products
