Job Summary
Develop and execute product designs, sketches, and prototypes for Ann Mashburn while managing the full development lifecycle from market research through engineering and commercialization. Uphold design integrity and timeliness by leading seasonal mood boards, color palettes, and themes, then collaborate with technical design to ensure fit consistency and raise quality standards. Mentor a team of associate designers, drive creative development, and partner with merchandising to analyze performance and guide future assortments. Attend fittings to provide clear design direction and maintain excellent partnerships with internal and external teams. This role requires a multi-functional creative professional with 10+ years of experience to lead product strategy and merchandise objectives for the brand.
Required Qualifications
- A 10+ year track record as a creative professional at a high-growth consumer brand
- Distinctive people, process, and thought leadership capabilities
- deep cross-functional influencing skills
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fabric behavior, and patternmaking
- Excellent hand sketching and/or digital sketching ability
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), PLM systems, and Microsoft Office
- Experience developing product directly with factories
- understanding of development from concept through engineering
- Excellent sense of style, color and ability to conceptualize a collection
- Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills
