Job Summary
Director of AML Compliance for the Middle East, Pakistan and Afghanistan based in Dubai. Lead a Dubai-based AML team and regionalize AML functions, strengthening executive-level engagement and regulatory/partner relationships to support business growth. Oversee and refine AML frameworks for global/regional regulatory alignment, drive risk oversight of customer activity, geographic footprint, and partner networks, and guide the compliance strategy for digital and wallet-based offerings. Collaborate with country leadership, regulators, and cross-functional teams to embed controls, manage high-impact issues, and influence strategic market expansion. Requires deep AML experience in financial services/payments across multi-jurisdictional contexts, ability to lead and develop diverse teams, and strong analytical/communication skills to engage regulators and stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree required; law or advanced degree preferred; English fluency required with Arabic a strong advantage.

- Experience operating in complex, multi-jurisdictional organizations, with ability to navigate differing regulatory expectations and risk profiles
- Track record of leading and developing teams, ideally across multiple countries and diverse regulatory environments
- Familiarity with compliance tools, data-driven approaches, and industry best practices
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-risk scenarios, solve complex problems, and make sound, timely decisions
- Excellent communication skills, with ability to convey complex topics clearly and effectively
