Job Summary

Director, Americas Workforce Screening-Risk & Investigations leads escalation and oversight of background screening for employees and contingent workers, collaborating with Employment Law and HR to resolve reputational and operational risk. Responsibilities include investigating escalated screening concerns (criminal history, misrepresentation, fraud, reputational risk), communicating with candidates and employees through pre-employment screening, preparing review documentation, recommending resolutions to Employment Law/HR, producing regular metrics, and mentoring junior staff. Requires strong interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills, experience with public record databases, and a proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion in a global corporate environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years Employment Law / Employee Relations / Human Resources experience / Background Screening
  • Strong interviewing and conflict resolution abilities
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, and procedures relating to background screening and confidentiality
  • Masters of public records databases proficiency with Microsoft Office
