Job Summary
Director, AI Operations & Optimization to lead the operationalization, reliability, and continuous improvement of Vizient's enterprise AI capabilities. Responsibilities include overseeing AI runtime operations, implementing AIOps and LLMOps, establishing observability and monitoring, incident management, governance and security controls, and continuous service improvement for AI-powered applications and agentic workflows. Lead cross-functional collaboration with AI Engineering & Delivery, AI Governance, Platform Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, and business stakeholders; mentor and develop operations teams; drive operational maturity, scalable support models, and automation initiatives to optimize performance, efficiency, and reliability of enterprise AI solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Technology Management, or related field preferred
- 8+ years in AI operations, software engineering, platform operations, DevOps, SRE, or related fields
- 3+ years leading operational teams or large-scale initiatives
- Hands-on experience with production AI solutions using LLMs, APIs, and orchestration frameworks
- Experience with observability platforms, monitoring, incident management, CI/CD, and production support
- Strong communication, collaboration, and cross-functional leadership skills
- Knowledge of AI governance and responsible AI principles (preferred)
