Job Summary
The Director of AI Engineering will lead digital transformation efforts incorporating AI, machine learning, and automation in Global Development. Responsibilities include providing strategic direction and technical leadership to engineering teams, developing scalable AI/ML solutions tailored to clinical applications, and overseeing the integration of diverse data sources. Candidates must have a strong background in generative AI, machine learning methodologies, and programming skills in Python or R, alongside experience managing projects and teams in a healthcare or life sciences setting. A maximum annual salary of $341,600 and a minimum of $205,000 is provided.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, Engineering, or related field
- 10-12 years of experience with a PhD or 12–15+ years with a Master's or Bachelor's
- Experience managing and analyzing large-scale clinical datasets
- Track record of model development, implementation to scale, maintenance, and evaluation in a healthcare or life sciences setting
- Excellent communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership
- Experience managing multiple projects in parallel
- Experience working in cross-functional teams
