Job Summary
Manage client-facing and lender-facing activities for agency and bilateral transactions, including processing waivers, extensions, consents, amendments, and refinancings. Serve as the primary point of contact for deal stakeholders while coordinating the lender group's response to borrower requests and directing relevant advisors. Distribute required information and reports to lenders, organize lender/sponsor calls, and determine approval status on borrower requests. Provide dedicated coverage of agented or bilateral transactions in conjunction with New York Portfolio Management and Toronto-based CPS teams.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working in Project Finance in an Agency Services function
- demonstrated skills in client / relationship management
- demonstrated skills in stakeholder engagement
- demonstrated skills in consensus building
- demonstrated skills in optimizing operational efficiencies
- experience in Project Finance loan documentation
- knowledgeable in the roles and responsibilities of deal advisors (lawyers, engineers etc.)
- solid understanding of the credit standards and terms for project financings
- ability to work closely with the Portfolio Management team and the credit approval process at CIBC
- must have a valid work or study permit
- legally eligible to work at the location(s) specified
