Job Summary
Champion consistent messaging that advances organizational culture, caregiver engagement, and alignment with mission and strategic priorities across the Northern CA Service Area. Partner with executive leadership and shared services to develop impactful communications, presentations, and reports for internal and external audiences. Oversee strategic community and corporate relations initiatives to enhance visibility and build trusted partnerships with physicians, boards, and community organizations. Serve as a trusted advisor to the Chief Executive by preparing briefings, board materials, and actionable insights that support strategic decision-making. Lead high-priority projects, coordinate executive operations reviews, and ensure accountability for cross-functional initiatives. This role combines strategic leadership, operational execution, and relationship management to advance Providence's mission and strengthen organizational effectiveness within the healthcare sector.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Social Science, Biomedical Science, or a related field
- 8+ years of progressive professional experience in communications, operations, healthcare administration, public affairs, or related leadership roles
- 5+ years of leadership experience within healthcare or a related industry
- Exceptional business writing, storytelling, presentation, and communication skills
- Proven experience developing and executing strategic communication plans that align diverse audiences around organizational goals
- Ability to craft compelling messages that inspire engagement, trust, and action
- Demonstrated ability to influence executive leaders, guide strategic initiatives, and manage complex organizational priorities
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Proven ability to build credibility and foster trusted relationships with executive leaders, physicians, caregivers, community members, and external stakeholders
- Experience working effectively in highly collaborative environments that require consensus-building and cross-functional partnership
- Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities, projects, and competing demands while maintaining focus on organizational goals
- Strong project leadership and coordination capabilities with attention to detail, accountability, and results
- High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills
