Job Summary

Lead the development, enhancement, and maintenance of actuarial pricing methodologies and tools for Underwriting, Product, and Sales teams, focusing on risk segmentation and account-specific premium picks. Update pricing model parameters to improve accuracy and efficiency, including loss development, trend, and credibility refreshes. Collaborate with product partners to analyze profitability and address business issues while supporting the production implementation of pricing initiatives. Foster connections with teammates and business partners across data science, IT, and other actuarial groups. Perform analyses to identify and address broader business issues and stay apprised of industry trends. This role supports a $3B Workers' Compensation book across Small Business and Commercial segments, driving profitable growth with significant visibility from leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of actuarial experience with a proven record of success
  • Knowledge of Actuarial pricing and reserving techniques
  • Strong technical/analytical skills
  • High proficiency in Excel
  • Effective oral and written communications skills
  • Independently motivated
  • Teamwork skills including ability to effectively collaborate with and influence individuals at different organizational levels
  • Candidates who live near one of our office locations will have the expectation of working in office three days a week (Tuesday through Thursday)
  • Candidates who do not live near an office may be considered for a remote work arrangement with occasional travel

Desired Qualifications

  • FCAS
  • Prior Workers' Compensation experience
  • Experience with R/SQL
