Job Summary
Drive pricing, forecasting, and month-end close activities by developing key processes, assumptions, and accruals while evaluating financial experience against budget. Lead a team of actuaries in building internal statistical models for bid pricing, financial projections, and contract modeling, ensuring compliance with federal and state rate filing requirements. Guide strategic direction and innovation by influencing senior management and regulators, while leveraging expertise to design AI-enabled solutions for scalable pricing and analysis. Mentor staff, manage tactical plans, and identify cross-functional opportunities to drive corporate goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, economics or a related field
- Eight (8) years of decision support, financial analysis, or actuarial experience
- Three (3) years of management experience
- Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent listening and critical thinking skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and high level of professionalism
- Ability to manage, develop, and motivate staff
- Ability to interact with all levels of management as well as external stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to effectively report data, analyze facts, and exercise sound business judgment when making recommendations
- Ability to identify and analyze problems, draw conclusions, develop and lead processes and communicate status and results
- Ability to lead audits of data and models
- Demonstrate sound business judgment when drawing conclusions and making decisions
- Expert proficiency with Microsoft Suite to include Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Advanced knowledge of SQL, SAS, R, or other data manipulation software
- Up to 15% (Occasional) travel based on the needs of the department
Desired Qualifications
- Managed Care or healthcare experience
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA)
- Strong database (SAS or Access) experience
