Job Summary
Oversee North America general and corporate accounting functions, ensure compliance with US GAAP and regulatory requirements, and maintain strong internal controls while supporting strategic financial decision-making. Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, review reconciliations, oversee treasury and payroll funding, and supervise accounts payable. Lead ERP transition (SAP) and act as a business partner to controllers and other teams to ensure proper processing. Ensure intercompany reconciliations, assist in quarterly balance sheet and income statement analysis, and support annual audit processes. Develop and manage the general accounting team, provide training, succession planning, and back-up coverage as needed; leverage SAP knowledge to validate information and support capital expenditures and asset depreciation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 8-10 years of business experience with a minimum of 5 years of managerial experience
- Proven leadership, team building, and coaching skills
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience within a manufacturing industry preferred
- SAP experience strongly or ability to quickly understand and use systems
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal control frameworks
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical, problem solving, and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and willingness to get into detailed information
- Exceptional knowledge of Excel
