Job Summary
The Director, Accounting will lead the accounting function across multiple revenue‐generating entities, ensuring operational excellence, strong financial controls, and timely, accurate reporting. Responsibilities include overseeing the full-cycle general ledger with emphasis on revenue recognition and accounts receivable, establishing accounting policies and internal controls, directing the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, and maintaining SOX related controls. The role requires a proactive leader with deep technical accounting expertise and experience managing complex revenue environments, as well as strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- CPA required
- Minimum 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in public accounting
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP, revenue accounting, operational accounting, and management reporting
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage complex workflows, and drive process improvements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong collaborative mindset
- High integrity, strong work ethic, and a commitment to operational excellence
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in publicly held media, entertainment, or ad-tech companies
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Experience with NetSuite
