Job Summary
Director 2 at Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems leading the Aerospace Structures Operating Unit in Clearfield, UT. Manages P&L for a portfolio of programs, directs program managers, and partners with Business Development to capture follow-on and new business opportunities. Responsible for program strategy, long-range planning, and execution across development, production, and sustainment phases for military, space, and commercial aircraft programs. Leads contract negotiations, ensures compliance with company standards, and interfaces with customers and prime contractors. Requires ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret clearance, and offers relocation assistance with ~25% travel. Strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, risk and opportunity management, and adherence to ethical standards expected.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 10 years of related experience OR Master's degree and 8 years of related experience
- Related experience includes project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts, and business management functions
- 5 years in program or project leadership roles
- Ability to obtain and maintain final adjudicated U.S. Government Secret Clearance
- Experience leading a multi-functional team
- Knowledge of program management for development, production and sustainment programs
- Experience managing major programs or portfolio >$300M in sales annually
- Experience with Firm Fixed Price, CPFF, and IWO contracts
- Understanding of DoD acquisition and budgeting processes
- Experience with Military Prime and DoD customers and Commercial aircraft suppliers
- Experience working with Earned Value Management, Risk and Opportunity Management, and contract management
- Strong verbal and written communication, leadership of managers/teams
- Experience with high-ranking military officials and prime contractors
