Job Summary
Lead the clinical engineering program at a major regional hospital by providing strategic oversight of biomedical equipment service delivery, including preventative maintenance, repair, and calibration. Mentor a team of supervisors and technicians while driving process improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and ensure compliance with Joint Commission, DNV, and CIHQ standards. Manage departmental budgeting, vendor contracts, and capital projects to align fiscal outcomes with organizational goals. Collaborate with hospital leadership and clinical staff to champion continuous improvement and professional development within the HTM department.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience managing biomedical services in a large healthcare system
- Proven experience leading clinical engineering teams and developing staff at all levels
- Deep knowledge of regulatory requirements and hospital accreditation standards
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Strong business acumen, with a focus on budget control, strategic planning, and team development
- Ability to handle complex problem-solving and deliver high-quality outcomes in a high-paced, patient-focused environment
