Job Summary
Directs the SEO/GEO function for DAC, leading the SEO/GEO team while partnering with the online account team to deliver research, implementation, campaign management, and performance reporting. Plans and implements SEO/GEO best practices, stays current on search engine updates, develops audience insights and competitive analysis, conducts keyword research, executes full SEO/GEO audits, and structures content for LLM ingestion with structured data. Develops GEO strategies to optimize client brand presence in AI-generated responses, monitors brand visibility with GEO tools, and communicates performance to account teams. Ensures technical optimization of web properties, identifies content improvements, expands keyword targets, and manages multiple projects in a fast-paced, in-office environment (three days per week). Collaborates across teams, shares best practices, and contributes to ongoing professional development and client success.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 to 6 years of online marketing experience in a lead SEO role, ideally in an agency
- In-depth understanding of the search engine ranking process
- Basic knowledge of HTML, PHP, CSS and web standards
- ASP.NET knowledge is a plus
- Highly organized with ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deep experience in keyword research
- Ability to work in a team and cross-team environment
- Proven track record of improving organic rankings using SEO/GEO best practices
- Experience in writing and evaluating copy for SEO/GEO purposes
- Strong attention to detail, problem solving and time management
- Knowledge of online marketing metrics
- Strong analytical skills with experience using analytics to identify issues and opportunities
