Job Summary

Unload incoming stock from HGVs and LCVs, break down deliveries into unit of measure, and replenish stock in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures. Perform stock put-away, pick bulk orders, and input data for trackability while operating LLOP, pump trucks, reach trucks, and VNA. Handle a diverse range of products including controlled drugs, temperature-sensitive items, and hazardous materials. Work at height and below the knee, performing manual handling up to 16kg. Rotate through the fridge area as required. This role supports the UK's leading veterinary wholesaler, which serves 2,750 customers daily through a nationwide network.

Required Qualifications

  • GCSE grades D-G or equivalent
  • Good level of attention to detail
  • The ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • The ability to work with others
  • Effective communication
  • Act in a professional manner
  • Hard-working, self-motivated and customer focused
  • Looks for opportunities to improve processes and channels suggestions appropriately
  • Regular manual handling of products, up to 16kg (up to 25kg in Bulk area)
  • Operating LLOP, pump trucks, electric pump truck, HLOP, reach truck, counter balance and VNA
  • A busy and physically demanding role
  • Requirement to work in fridge area on a rota basis
  • Some experience of working in a warehouse environment

Desired Qualifications

  • Some experience of working in a warehouse environment would be advantageous but is not essential
  • GCSE grades D-G or equivalent is desirable
