Job Summary
Provide direct support and assistance to adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities to promote their independence and person-centered goals. Deliver care during sleep overnight shifts and potentially every other weekend while reporting to the Program Manager. Drive residents' appointments and activities, maintaining a safe environment for co-workers and clients. Advocate for individuals and utilize strong communication skills to support their social, spiritual, and recreational growth within the community. This role is part of Aldaview Services, a division of Tri-County Mennonite Homes, which empowers clients toward self-sufficiency across three operational divisions.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in the social services field, such as a DSW/PSW or enrolled in a related college or university program
- Related experience working with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities
- CPR
- Emergency First Aid
- NVCI
- G license
- New employees will be required to complete a vulnerable sector check
- TB test
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting individuals with Dual Diagnosis, Mental Health & Addictions
- Demonstrated experience working with adults with an intellectual/developmental disability
