Job Summary
Direct Support Supervisor oversees residential homes/facilities and directly supervises two or more Direct Support Employees. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring recommendations, training, planning and directing work, conducting performance reviews, motivating and promoting team performance, addressing complaints, and resolving problems. Manages residential homes, ensures staff meet training requirements, provides after-hours on-call coverage, supports people with intellectual/developmental disabilities and mental health/substance-use challenges, and helps implement individualized services per the ISP to help people achieve personal goals. Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe home and coordinating duties with DSPs; performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- associate degree in a health-related field or two years’ experience in health-related field
- flexible schedule and on-call coverage
- Valid driver’s license
- background check
- drug screen
- CPR/first aid training (certifications a plus)
Desired Qualifications
