Job Summary
Directly supervise two or more Direct Support Employees in residential homes/facilities, including interviewing, hiring recommendations, and training; plan, assign, and direct work; monitor performance, provide feedback, and conduct performance reviews. Responsible for after-hours/on-call coverage, ensuring a clean, maintained home, implementing services and supports per Individual Support Plans, and carrying out Direct Support Professional duties as assigned. Requires maintaining compliance with organizational policies and applicable laws, and coordinating with the team to achieve personal outcomes for people supported. Holds or pursues health-related credentialing (CPR, first aid, NCI, MedTech) and demonstrates flexibility for on-call needs; background checks and credential verifications completed as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D required
- Associate Degree in a health related area; or two years’ experience in a health related field preferred
- CPR, first aid, NCI and/or MedTech certification, a plus
- Valid driver’s license
- Background check and drug screen
- Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements
- Proven experience supervising direct support staff
- Ability to implement services and supports identified in Individual Support Plan
- On-call availability
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening
- Provide after-hours coverage as part of the direct care rotation
