Job Summary
Direct Support Supervisor responsible for supervising staff within the Community Service Group (CSG) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in residential settings, implementing agency policies, developing supports based on Independent Support Plans/Behaviour Support Plans, and ensuring health and safety. Responsibilities include directing staff, monitoring performance through meetings and supervision, performing administrative tasks (payroll, incident reporting, record keeping, ministry documents), chairing meetings, and contributing to continuous quality improvement. Requires post-secondary education in a related field, at least 2 years’ experience with individuals with developmental disabilities in residential settings, demonstrated leadership, strong problem-solving and organizational skills, collaborative networking across diverse stakeholders, ability to manage multiple priorities, and excellent English communication.
Required Qualifications
- Post-Secondary education in related field
- Minimum 2 years working with individuals with developmental disabilities and supervising residential homes
- Demonstrated leadership ability to manage group of staff
- Excellent problem solving and organizational skills, flexibility and service orientation
- Ability to work collaboratively and network with diverse stakeholders
- Demonstrates ability to manage multiple priority tasks; detail oriented, organized
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
