Job Summary
Direct Support Staff Supervisor manages and supports direct care staff, writes assessments and service plans under the Manager, assists in hiring and supervising staff, schedules coverage, and rotates on-call responsibilities. Provides habilitation and other services to clients in home and community settings per the client’s service plan, and coordinates with the treatment team for discharge planning and transportation as needed. The role involves ensuring documentation meets billing criteria, supporting monthly billing data, staff training and orientation, regular communication with staff about client needs, and managing Medicaid, client funds, and related financials. Requires an Associate’s degree in a human services field, valid driver’s license, ability to pass a pre-employment physical with drug/alcohol screen, and willingness to participate in company training and benefits programs.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in a human services field required
- Previous experience working with the long term mentally ill population preferred
- A valid driver's license with a driving record
- Employees are required to maintain a minimum personal vehicle coverage that equates to $100,000 each person and $300,000 each accident
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical with a drug and alcohol screen
