Job Summary
Direct Support Staff at Vera French Community Mental Health Center provides one-on-one client support in crisis residential services, promoting daily living skills, overseeing safety, and assisting with medications under physician orders; responsibilities include facilitating group activities, following regulations, and helping clients achieve short-term goals within an interdisciplinary team. Required Qualifications
- A valid driver’s license with insurable driving record
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical with drug and alcohol screen
- Experience working with chronically mentally ill population
- CPR certification preferred
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Services with 30 semester hours or equivalent, OR High school diploma or equivalent with minimum two years of experience in behavioral or mental health services and 30 hours of crisis and mental health trainings
