Job Summary
Support individuals with activities of daily living, including getting dressed, cooking, cleaning, bathing, and toileting. Transport people, organize activities and community outings, and assist with grocery shopping and running errands. Administer medication, accompany individuals to doctors' appointments, and deescalate situations while managing behaviors. Document program data, teach, engage, and help in decision-making processes. Work as part of a collective team, communicating professionally with nurses, clinical staff, directors, and supervisors. Maintain a schedule of Monday-Thursday 12a-10a. Hold a valid driver's license with at least three years of driving experience and possess behavioral management experience or formal training. Complete required certifications including PMT, CPR, FA, and the DDS Medication Administration Program.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or its equivalent
- At least 3 years driving experience with a valid driver's license
- Behavioral Management Experience and/or formal training
- Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing
- PMT certification
- CPR certification
- FA certification
- Completion of DDS Medication Administration Program (MAP)
- Freedom from communicable disease
- Ability to move independently throughout a wide range of environments, some of which may not be wheelchair or otherwise handicapped accessible
- Independent transportation to locations that may not be served by public transportation
