Job Summary
Journey Found Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Specialist to assist individuals with Pervasive Developmental Disorders and Intellectual Disabilities in group homes. Key responsibilities include supporting daily living activities, transporting individuals, organizing community outings, administering medication, and documenting program data. Candidates must possess a High School Diploma, three years of driving experience, and must complete necessary training such as PMT, CPR, and DDS Medication Administration Program. Compassionate individuals are encouraged to apply as training is provided.
Required Qualifications
- Must have at least a High School Diploma or its equivalent
- Must have at least 3 years driving experience with a valid driver’s license
- Behavioral Management Experience and/or formal training
- Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing
- Will be required to be PMT, CPR, FA and complete DDS Medication Administration Program (MAP)
- Must be free from communicable disease
