Job Summary
Support individuals with activities of daily living, including dressing, cooking, cleaning, bathing, and toileting. Transport people, organize activities and community outings, and assist with medication administration and doctor's appointments. Document program data, teach and engage, and help in the decision-making process. Deescalate situations and manage behaviors while working as part of a collective team. Communicate professionally with nurses, clinical staff, directors, and supervisors. Schedule includes Saturday 9a-9p and Sunday through Tuesday 4p-11p. Requires a high school diploma, three years of driving experience, and valid driver's license. Behavioral management experience and/or formal training preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or its equivalent
- At least 3 years driving experience with a valid driver's license
- Behavioral Management Experience and/or formal training
- Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing
- PMT certification
- CPR certification
- FA certification
- Completion of DDS Medication Administration Program (MAP)
- Freedom from communicable disease
- Ability to move independently throughout a wide range of environments, some of which may not be wheelchair or otherwise handicapped accessible
- Independent transportation to locations that may not be served by public transportation
