Job Summary
Direct Support Professional in youth group homes builds safe, trusting relationships with youth aged 10–17, supports daily living, helps develop independence and adulthood skills, follows behavior support plans to ensure safety, and collaborates with families and medical professionals. Responsibilities include supporting morning and bedtime routines, school preparation, after-school activities, meals, and household tasks; assisting youth with emotional regulation, trauma-informed care, and community participation; monitoring health and well-being and providing consistent, high-quality support across program needs. The role may be assigned to multiple group homes, with occasional crossover to other locations as needed; includes training and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- Ability to pass a background check
- Licensed driver with at least two years' driving experience for day and swing shifts
- Willingness to be flexible and learn new skills
- Knows basic cooking skills
- Knows basic cleaning skills
- Preference for applicants who can work at least one weekend day
