Job Summary
Direct Support Professional (Youth) provides direct non-clinical support to youth aged 10–17 with developmental and mental health needs in group-home settings, building safe, trusting relationships, supporting daily living, and helping youth develop independence. Responsibilities include following behavior support plans, supervising routines (morning/bedtime, school prep, meals, activities), collaborating with families and medical professionals, monitoring health and well-being, and supporting community participation. The role involves modeling emotional regulation, assisting with trauma-informed care, and contributing to a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality support; includes paid training and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- Great social skills
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to lift, push and pull 50 pounds
- Knows basic cooking skills and willing to learn new recipes
- Knows basic cleaning skills
- Willing to be flexible and learn new skills
- Licensed driver with at least two years' driving experience required for day and swing shifts
- Preference for applicants who can work at least one weekend day
