Job Summary
Implement quality educational and recreational programming covering fine and gross motor skills, cognition, community integration, life skills, and therapeutic recreation. Conduct scheduled activities per protocol, assist in developing topics based on participant interests, and supervise Medical Day program participants. Actively participate in multidisciplinary team service delivery, assist with therapeutic pool use and trips, and maintain clean activity areas. Provide feedback to management on activity enthusiasm, attend client meetings and training, and demonstrate dependability with punctual attendance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of experience working with people with disabilities and/or other special populations
- Ability to work well with others in a diverse population
- Effective verbal and oral communication
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Basic computer skills
